Pinterest Inspiration - Dress up storage areas!

Jenna has always loved playing dress-up!

However, all of her dresses are just stashed in plastic drawers.  Those drawers are pink and purple though, and that at least, should count for something right?!

Anyway, while browsing pinterest, I came across some great storage ideas that I thought I'd share.

This may be my favorite one! What a great idea! All she did was add a closet pole in between!

Source here.  This is an old tv stand. She painted it and put in a small shower rod.

No source here. This one is just a repurposed changing table!

I love that this one has a mirror with it!

These are all so cute! Sigh...maybe some day all of our dresses will come out of the plastic tubs.

Friday Favorites - Tea & Naartjie

Sharing two of my favorite brands -  Tea Collection and Naartjie
Tea is a very new brand for us, but the dresses work well for Jenna's school dress code.  And Naartjie is an old favorite of mine!

Tea Dress & Leggings - this is a perfect school outfit for Jenna!

Even Jillian likes Tea dresses!

My silly goose posing in her Naartjie outfit.  I have loved dressing Jenna in Naartjie for several years now!

Ruffle pants!

Jenna rarely wears pants these days.  She definitely will not wear jeans and she has gotten to where she doesn't even like jeggings.  About 2 years ago, I got her a pair of Matilda Jane grey ruffle pants and I can't even begin to tell you just how much she has worn them.  I have definitely gotten my money's worth out of them!

Here she is wearing the ones I'm talking about.

So, I just got these from Matilda Jane's newest collection.  They are capri length and a lighter weight material.  I'm sure she will probably also be able to get 2 years wear out of these too!

It recently just hit me that I should search on etsy to see if there were any others on there.  Well, of course there are!!!!  Here are a few cute ones that I found to share:

And oh.my.word....how cute are these!?!?!  Find them here on etsy.

Located Here - These would probably go with a wide range of dresses and shirts.

Here - This seller has TONS of cute ones and lots of ruffle shorts!  I think I'm going to have to figure out what tops and dresses we have and try this seller out!

I've also gotten some on Zulily.  One pair is too big for now and I'm still waiting for the other to come in the mail.  I've also seen them on Jane.com but haven't bought any from there.  However, now that I know there are more options than just MJ, I think we will have to get a few more!

Mermaid clothing

My daughter, Jenna, absolutely adores mermaids.  There are so many cute clothes now with mermaids on them, that I thought I'd highlight just a few.

This first picture is from her birthday party last November.  The shirt is from this etsy seller.  I loved this shirt!  I'm sure etsy offers a ton more ideas for unique mermaid clothes too.

This top is kind of hard to see but it's from Naartjie's newest line.  I bought one for each of my girls just in different colors.  I'm sure I will try and take a pic of them in it when they get around to wearing it.

One piece swimsuit new from Crazy 8.

Kelly's Kids summer 2012 (I think??)

Gymboree mermaid outfit.  If you do an ebay search for "gymboree mermaid" there is tons of it on there!

Mermaid nightgown (new) from The Children's place.

Another new shirt from The Children's Place

And who can leave out Ariel?!?  This is also from The Children's Place. I think this one is really cute too!

I'm sure there are lots of other mermaid options out there too.  I just pulled a few from the places I knew had them right now.

Shopping Rhea Lana consignment sale!

I originally posted this over on my other blog.  However, I feel like it definitely fits in to this blog too so I'm going to re-post here.  Also, I haven't forgotten about this blog, but it seems I just started it at a bad time with my husband being gone all week.  Hopefully, more to come next week!

Well it's almost Rhea Lana time here - just a couple of more weeks!  I've participated in every sale since we moved here in 2011. This is really something I like doing. It's super easy - I get to get rid of stuff, look for new stuff and make a little extra money when it's done!

So, anyway, here a few of my favorite things from our Joplin Rhea Lana sale.

I found Jillian's mud pie Halloween outfit at the last fall sale. I was so excited about this cute find!

I also found this adorable smocked dress there too.  It's still a little big for Jillian, so she hasn't been able to wear it just yet.  I originally had planned for her to wear it to Jenna's dance recital.

I needed a few extra baby toys for Jillian. I wanted to have a few things at my mom's and some in the playroom and some in her room.  These are just a couple of the ones I found and these are the ones that stay in her room.  She loves these!

And Jenna's most prized Rhea Lana possession?  This princess jeep.  :)
(Sorry for the small pic.)

How do I find the cutesy and good stuff???? When you sell, you get to shop early.  When you volunteer, you get to shop even earlier!  In my opinion, shopping early is the best way to go!

It really is fun and very easy to do!  :)

Trying something new here

Hi!  Since this is my first post here, I thought I'd do a little intro.

I'm Allison. I've been blogging for several years over at my main family blog.  But, I've been feeling like it was time to try something new.  I feel like I've been losing interest with my blog but I'm definitely not ready to completely stop it.

So, here is my sweet little family.  That's me and my wonderful husband.  We have two adorable daughters.  Jenna is 6 and Jillian is 10 months.  And if there is one thing that I would say I'm good at and I absolutely love doing - well....that's shopping for my girls!

Jillian and Jenna - They may have a 5.5 year age difference, but they absolutely love each other!

So, my focus on this blog will be to post about shopping for little girls.  More than likely, I'll be posting more about clothing (shoes & accessories included), but maybe I'll even throw in a few other girly things every now and then.  I just want this to be a fun place.  Maybe this is silly to try to start a blog like this?!  I can't promise it will even last.   I just need to try something new here. :)
